Spinnity hosted the January Spin-in at her house and a good time was had by all. It was fun to get together with everyone after the holidays. There was spinning, geek talk, knitting, design/fit consultations, worms and dirt for all. (What??)
Here's a sampling of the spinners. (I don't know how I missed taking a photo of Emy. Sorry about that!)

Margit
GraceGrace was busy spinning and plying with her spindle. She showed off some of her handspun.
HandspunAmy was working on a new design.
AmyAnd Spinnity was making progress on the next piece of her WIP.
WIPWhat's great about getting together is the comradery and sharing of ideas--not to mention this is about the only time I get to spin. There were a few design consultations and I think as a group we were able to come up with some good suggestions. Come to think of it, I don't think the hive mind suggested any ripping out. Bonus.
WIP consultationI brought a birthday gift for Spinnity and the expression on her face as she realized what the FO was was worth every stitch.
Birthday SocksThese are socks knit from
sock blanks that Spinnity and I dyed together at a
Machine Knitting To Dye For workshop. In fact, I liked the colors she chose and "stole" them for these blanks. How fitting that they ended up being super-special socks custom made for her! I knit them toe-up to use every inch of yarn.
Happy Birthday indeed!
Birthday SocksAs with all Spin-ins, the table was full of sweet and savory treats. Wait a second, what's that on the right?
Treats and EatsNow it's on the left. See it?
Treats and EatsThere it is, Worms and Dirt!
Worms and Dirt!To celebrate the new landscaping at Spinnity's house, Margit and Randall created a special cake. Worms and dirt never tasted so good.
