Who will get to the podium for purling?
In today's Oregonian:
Who will get to the podium for purling?
Saturday, February 18, 2006
The Olympic Games are at the halfway mark, and you know what that means (or maybe you don't; in which case, it's a good thing we're running this reminder): There's only one more week of the Knitting Olympics!
E-mail a digital photo of your completed project to The Oregonian's Living section, living@news.oregonian.com. Deadline for entries is Friday, March 3. Please type "Knitting Contest" in the subject line and include some information about your project, address and phone number.
Three lucky knitters will receive gift certificates to Yarn Garden in Southeast Portland. But there are no losers in the Knitting Olympics: Those stylish sweaters, perfectly purled potholders or, as the case may be, misshapen mittens will offer enjoyment for years to come.
