Trying something new
We're growing tomatoes upside-down.
We didn't go for the "as seen on TV" product because for the price ofone of those, we got 2 plants & 2 buckets.
A bit of research on the web suggested we plant smaller varieties of tomatoes so the fruit doesn't weigh the vines down too much. We chose 2 hybrids, Best Boy and a Roma.
Best Boy
Roma
The tops of the buckets will hold herbs, veggies, and/or flowers--anything to make it look like we're not in the middle of a home improvement project.

I'm getting ready to do some garden planting in the front yard. I hope the neighbors won't mind the garden as much as they do the dandelions! I bet I could hang one of these on the far side of the house, hmmmmm!

That's a great idea. I have seen this on TV but I think yours is better as you can have herbs on the top.
