Fruit Cocktail cut short
Our fruit cocktail tree was quite a producer last year. We didn't thin any of the fruit so the branches were laden with nectarines, plums, apricots, and a couple of peaches. The peach graft was less robust than the rest, but we were counting on a better harvest this year.
The blossoms are coming in nicely.
Independence Nectarine
Santa Rosa Plum
Blenheim Apricot
What happened to the peach blossoms? Well, there was a pruning incident. :(
We didn't give clear instructions to our gardener about the tree. While he and/or his helper were in clean-up mode, they ended up cutting off the peach branch. Ouch! Fortunately they didn't cut it flush with the trunk so it's doing its best to come back. There won't be any peaches this year.
Gold Dust Peach
Since then, we've marked all the trees that we don't want pruned with nursery tape and let our gardener know. I'm going to miss those peaches this summer.

Looks like you will be enjoying a good harvest. We just moved to an apartment so no more fruit trees or vegetables.
