Knit Flix Challenge 2013
It's that time of year again, time for the Knit Flix Challenge!
What is the Knit Flix Challenge? It's a giving group at DonorsChoose.org that focuses on art and music projects in schools across the United States. As you can see by the banner above, just a few donors can make a huge difference to a large number of students.
I've chosen a few projects for students in high poverty areas for this year's challenge--
- Paint cups & easels for 1st graders in Oakland.
- Looms, beads, and other weaving materials for an elementary school in Philadelphia.
- Thread, yarn, fiber fill, sequins, and buttons for autistic high school students in New York City.
- Yarn for middle & high school students to crochet items for themselves and for charities in the Bronx.
Donations made through DonorsChoose.org are tax deductible.
Spread the word and share this blog post with your friends. Pay it forward!
