It's Hand Knit Friday! What hand knits did you wear today?

Okay, I admit it. I didn't exactly wear this all day, but I did wear it long enough to take a photo. This is the Rio Calina Cowl designed by Cat Bordhi. This pattern, as with all of Cat's patterns, is genius. It is a free flowing river of cables that you place whenever the mood hits. Oh, and it's reversible. She designed it for a worsted weight yarn, but mine is made in a super chunky, super soft Malabrigo.

We lost dear Cat last month. I look forward to wearing her cowl on a chilly day.

This is a kit I got at Stitches West 2019. It's the Crossflower Shawl designed by Katy H Carroll of Katinka Designs in Marianated Yarns Hoth Practicality. The stitch markers weren't included in the kit, but they are handmade.

It's Hand Knit Friday! Are you wearing hand knits today? The weather is beautiful today--sunny, a little breezy, and not too hot for hand knits. This sweater is one my favorites, Chimney Fire from Stick Chick Knits.

I don't like being judged, ...

but I like winning.

I blocked 52 Pickup and removed about 1/2 cup of fuzz from it using a sweater shaver. IMHO, it has never looked better. The judges at the California State Fair will do what they do and results will be posted on Wednesday. *deep breath*
