It is chilling to hear what the current administration is doing in the name of Homeland Security. Here's a Declaration Calling for the Resignation or Removal of John Ashcroft which describes what has been happening on Ashcroft's watch.
Also, have you heard about the case of Ansar Mahmood? His nightmare started on October 9, 2001. Terrorism charges were dropped within the first 10 days. However, because he helped an immigrant couple get an apartment--and because he didn't ask if they had valid green cards--his ordeal is ending with deportation. He lost his final appeal this week.
