CA State Fair 2012 - Part 3, Other Creative Arts
I used to do a lot of cross stitch. You know, Christmas ornaments, samplers, guest towels, etc., so I know what cross stitch looks like. I take that back. I thought I knew what cross stitch looked like until I saw this piece. In fact, I wasn't even sure what it was until I got home and enlarged my photo of the ID tag. It's a shame this was displayed so far from view because as it is, the detail cannot be seen with the naked eye. Click on the close-up of the owl's face for a better look. It's like cross stitch in HD!

Wow, that cross stitch looks fantastic. I used to do a lot of cross stitching before I discovered knitting.

The ceramic piece of Girl with the Feathered Hat was wonderful. Beautiful color. Delicate and great texture.
