Sleevage for Alice

The cruise was an experience--too much food (waaay too much food) and a bit of touristy shopping.

Thankfully the sea was calm, the boat was steady, and there was no queasiness. Also, it was nice to get away from phones and the computer for a few days. Next time (if there is a next time) I'd like to pick a more interesting destination, like Alaska.

I was able to get a bit of knitting done on the plane to and fro:

  • glad you had a good time. The sweater looks terrific! I did the cuff of my first sleeve (twice), only to realize that I didn't give it a hem - just the 4 rows of garter stitch. Shoot. I don't want to knit the cuff for the 3rd time... and then knit a second one. Maybe it could be a design element - the cuffs being different then the hem of the body?

  • Your Alice is just gorgeous. I really like the colors you picked because the pattern shows up so nicely. Welcome back from your vacation!

  • Wow, I'm in awe of the colors, even though I helped choose them. Somehow, I am not confident that my color choices will work as well.

    Hope to see you soon!
