Backwards?
One thing I was attempting to do before my hiatus was to knit backwards. Now that I have access to all sorts of knitting resources on the web that address this technique, I think it's time to learn this new skill.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I did knit one row backwards, but ran into the same issue as you did--how best to hold & wrap the yarn. I got impatient and didn't figure it out, but I'll revisit it at some point.
