Felted mitts
A new project for the new year.
I had so much fun with the Barney Clogs, I had to find another felting project to knit. Large needles, springy yarn, and the magic of felting--gotta love it.
So I thumbed through this book
Knit One, Felt Too : Discover the magic of knitted felt with 25 easy patterns
and decided on the mittens shown here.
The felted portion will be purple just like the clogs,
and I'm thinking of doing the cuff in the lavender that I used for the clog trim.
One last note--have you seen Jordana's new Knitter's Satchel? I'd like to see one in person. A grape one. Maybe she can be pursuaded to bring samples to SnB... soon.

Doesn't she work at commuknity now? Perhaps they have one on display.

We have the Satchel at Commuknity, but we sold the last purple one today.
And I didn't even buy it! :P

A person in my SnB did those mittens, they came out great! they are really fun and I love the idea of not felting the wrist part...
great barney feet too! love the colors.
