The ripples begin

The beginnings of the Broadripple Socks are now on the AT#2 needles. To get the maximum out of the JaWoll Sport yarn, these socks are being knit toe-up using the 2s2c method. The provisional cast-on and short row toes are finished.

Do they match? (Thanks for asking Spinnity!) I'm happy to report that through 4 color changes, they're pretty close.

  • Ooh, Broadripple looks like a fun pattern! (Link to Knitty is busted in this post - extra http in the url). What color of Jawoll have you got? Show, show!

  • Thanks for the provisional cast-on link! I bookmarked it. And good luck with the socks. I'm still swatching mine on size 1 needles. *sigh*

  • Thanks for troubleshooting the URL, it's fixed now. I'll have photos soon--if I get a few more rows done, it'll be _much more_ interesting to look at. Right now I have little blue/yellow/green ears.

  • I've loved looking at your finished projects! Great job! I'm really getting inspired to start my socks now. I also wondered what code you are using in your template to directly link to the pages in your blog that have just that date? I've only figured out how to link to the archive, but not a specific date in general. Thanks!!

  • Thanks for the compliments Stephanie. To create a link to an individual post, you need to get the permanent link URL for the post. In my blog, a timestamp appears under each post. For this post, it looks like this:

posted by Bogie at 12:29 AM | 4 comments

The permanent link is the timestamp--for this post, click on "12:29 AM". That'll take you to the permanent link,
