FO 2005-13: Vogue Knitting Flame Stitch Cardigan

Yarn: Elann's Peruvian Collection Highland Wool, color = 3741 Victorian Violet, less than 1000yds
Needles: Denise Needles #9 & #7
Pattern: Flame Stitch Cardigan #9, Vogue Knitting Spring/Summer 2005, size 37-1/2"

Notice the yardage. I had enough yarn in my original purchase to make the sweater, which means the yardage in the pattern is wrong as well. Of course it would have been much worse if they had underestimated the yardage. *sigh*

I don't even care any more. IT'S FINISHED!! Yippeeeeeee!!!

  • What a relief. You worked so hard to fix all of the stinking errata! And it's stunning. A perfect fit and a gorgeous color. I love it!

  • It's beautiful. I am happy to see that you've finally gone through this pattern. Don't know anyone else would have the same perseverance ... I was lucky in that the pattern I chose (Cabled Vest) was not as messed up as yours ... only one small mistake in the chart ... I can almost say it's nothing compared to yours.

  • Huzzah, the 13th labor of Hercules is finished! I would be so curious about how Vogue thinks this pattern *should* have worked.

It's a lovely object & looks great on you. Congrats!

  • Just gorgeous. I almost made that, but ended up doing the the lace edged hoodie instead. It's a good thing too. I don't think I could have worked through the problems in the pattern. The color you chose is lovely.

  • This is beautiful, I knit with Mary, she told me about your Flame sweater, it turned out great! Can't wait to see the bag that you'll knit with the leftover yarn. You look like a total fashionista in this sweater.
